The BSc Business Management Extended Degree programme provides an excellent foundation for future business leaders, whether you want to work within an organisation, or you aspire to run your own enterprise.

The programme includes a foundation year, which has been carefully designed to build confidence in your abilities, and develop your academic and study skills ready for degree-level study. This foundation year (Year 0) will provide you with a comprehensive introduction to the key elements of business, in a supportive and intimate learning environment to build a strong foundation for your future study.

You will gain highly competitive business skills in a supportive and inspiring environment, with modules covering a wide range of business topics. Taught by experienced tutors, you will be learning about real-life and contemporary business approaches.

This course is delivered as part of a partnership between the University of Roehampton and QA Higher Education. The programme is validated by the University, and taught by QA Higher Education.

The foundation year is carefully designed to provide the subject specific knowledge and the academic study skills that are essential for success. In this first year of your programme you will be introduced to the major aspects of both profit and not for profit organisations.

You will acquire a greater understanding of the core principles in business management, specifically designed to address the issues of the modern business environment.

2016/17 tuition fees for the BSc Business Management Extended Degree are £9,000 per year. The degree is eligible for student finance from Student Finance England.

To be eligible to start the Degree, you must fulfil the following criteria.

  • 2016/17: 120 UCAS points, or equivalent
  • 2017/18: 64 UCAS points, or equivalent
  • GCSE Maths and English at grade D, or equivalent is required for entry.
  • Alternatively, GCSE requirements can be exempted by successfully passing our internal Maths (score 6 out of 15) and/or English test (minimum 50%).
  • Admissions and/or academic interview
  • All students will need to complete an internal English Language Assessment as part of the application process
  • Able to commit to studying full-time (2 days a week, or 2 evenings and Saturday)

This centre is located in central Manchester, a vibrant and buzzing city with a lot to offer. Classes take place in one of QA’s newly refurbished spaces to offer a state-of-the-art learning environment with modern facilities.

The Centre is conveniently located near many key transport links that assist students with getting to and from the campus. The city’s excellent tram and bus network run close to the building as well as Manchester Piccadilly station, offering train services across the UK.
