Level 2 Qualification

Level 3 Qualification

Level 3 is aimed at apprentices who have already completed the Level 2 and are looking to progress, or existing staff who already have knowledge and experience in customer service.

How long is the apprenticeship?

Customer service apprenticeships normally last 12 months. Ideally at the end of the apprenticeship you can progress your apprentice onto a higher level, or offer a permanent position.

How is it delivered?

Our training providers conduct the training in house, on the job. This means that there will not be any college attendance.

An apprenticeship assessor will visit the workplace every 6-8 weeks and spend around 2 hours with your apprentice combined with online seminars. They will monitor the apprentice at work and make sure their job is covering all the elements of the qualification criteria by looking at evidence.

This can include observation, questions, professional discussion, IT assignments and looking at the work they have produced. Apprenticeships are real jobs, but it is up to the employer to provide the right training and provide a mentor to guide and support them.

Can I enrol our existing staff?

Of course you can! We can recruit new staff totally for free, but if you have existing staff who do not have official qualifications above Level 2, it will be possible to enrol your existing staff onto the course and acquire on-the-job training and a nationally recognised qualification.

The course is distance learning, so your staff will not have to attend college, an assessor will visit every 8 weeks to check up on their progress, making it a really convenient way to up-skill your staff. We can arrange all this for you, for free.

How much does it cost?

First of all our apprenticeship recruitment service is free of charge. In terms of training costs for 16-18 year old apprentices 100% of your training costs are covered by government funding. For 19-24 year olds the Government funds 50% of the training costs.

Due to our partnerships with training providers we may be able to negotiate a lower fee for 19-24 year olds, or waive the fee completely in some cases. Be wary of some providers who charge a monthly management fee or high training costs, we will ensure that you get the very best deal.

Once we have your vacancy we will start negotiating with our training providers to keep the costs as low as possible for your business. We try our hardest to keep it totally free. The other costs you need to consider are the apprentices wage of at least £3.30 per hour plus holiday entitlements as well as the costs relating to training your apprentice and providing a mentor to support them.
