Manchester Staff were selected as finalists of the NECB Awards for a number of reasons, mainly for “demonstrating all-round excellence in business delivering an innovative product or service within a sustainable, secure financial and business model.”

Manchester Staff focuses exclusively on the Greater Manchester region and forges long lasting relationships with our local clients and candidates. We aim to break the mould of typical recruitment consultancies by providing industry leading service, resources and results, to a specific geographical location. Most agencies have one speciality, and recruit all over the UK for that one sector. Manchester Staff is different.

We have different specialist departments with specialist recruiters – but we focus solely on Greater Manchester. This is hugely beneficial as local clients trust that we know the local job market and economic conditions that affect a job search – we are also able to recruit multiple different roles for the same company without them having to use different specialist agencies.

For example, when a client needs a Finance Manager, Digital Marketing Executive, and a number of sales staff, we are able to recruit all of these different roles, keeping all that recruitment under one roof.

The key strategy at Manchester Staff is continuous growth. Our core strategy is to reinvest heavily back into staff growth and retention. We have our own trainee consultant scheme where we hire trainees who possess the right attributes regardless of their experience, and train them to be highly skilled and successful recruiters (worthy of being NECB Awards finalists!)

We provide continuous staff development training where training managers will conduct role plays, listen in on calls, provide situational training where needed as well as webinars and workshops. We also have our very own LMS (learner management system) where trainees, and even experienced recruiters, can study modules, take tests, and brush up their knowledge and skills on any area of the business they require.

Retaining our staff is another part of our strategy. In order to increase productivity, reduce stress, and maintain high employee morale we develop our employees in various ways from personal goal setting, mental health support, and CPD development. We hold monthly staff lunch clubs where we treat the staff to meals out at the best restaurants in Manchester, followed by team drinks. We arrange charity events and team building events such as go-karting and climbing up Snowden which is really fun. The team work very hard, and as such, there needs to be a social balance that makes work enjoyable.

Employees at Manchester Staff and Buckleigh & Williams Group departed to the beautiful city of Budapest as part of our employee incentive scheme. This was part of our quarterly team holiday target incentives we run to motivate and drive our teams to success. We feel that treating our staff, and investing back into their happiness and quality of life is a vital element of a happy & healthy workplace.

Manchester Staff demonstrated to the NECB Awards judges that they have a highly scalable and profitable business model that is growing at a rapid rate due to data driven business processes, thorough and robust business strategies, and consistent re-investment.

The business started out as a one man band, and after securing investment from a highly successful recruitment group called Buckleigh & Williams, grew rapidly into a successful business with 9 staff and growing. This is something we are very proud of, and have worked extremely hard to achieve.

What a fantastic night that was! We had a great time at the NECB Awards, and we met some hardworking individuals who have clearly grafted to build innovative and profitable businesses that deserve all the recognition they get.

Dino Georgiou (Director, Manchester Staff)

As a business we invest heavily in the well-being and development of our people, striving to make the organisation a great place to work, where our employees can progress financially with complete transparency.

We receive outstanding reviews online from clients and candidates which shows that a recruitment agency can break the mould and provide a service that is worth praising, something that is severely lacking in the recruitment industry.

We would like to thank and congratulate all the finalists and organisers of the NECB Awards for making it such a special evening, it was a real pleasure to be a part of the ceremony.
